Laxmi Narayan Temple was built in 1988 by Birla Foundation and so it is also called Birla Temple. The important feature of the temple is the rich carvings on the white marble structure. When the moonlight glows the temple looks very bright. The main deity in the temple is Lord Vishnu and his wife Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth.

Birla Mandir is located below the Moti Dungri Fort. There are three huge domes in the temple and they indicate three different approaches to the religion. The stained glass panes of the windows, the marble idol of Ganesha and the idol of Lord Vishnu carved out of single piece of marble are the main attractions. The Laxmi Narayan Mandir also displays the great philosophers and saints like Christ, Buddha, Socrates, Confucius and Zarathustra.

The Laxmi Narayan Temple is surrounded by lush green garden. It has a large marble panel inside that portray the mythological events. The temple also has a museum and the ancestral items of the Birla family are showcased here.
