Velliangiri Temple is located on the Velliangiri Mountains which is also known as Thenkailayam. There is a temple of Lord Shiva here called Swayambu and there is the presence of the Dhyanalinga at this place that attracts many people. The five faces of Lord Shiva namely Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Maheshwara and Sadasiva are seen here. The hill ranges here are said to have natural resources that consists of rare herbs. Annadhanam is organized here for about two centuries by the Arya Vaisya jewelers.
