Bindusagar Lake is one of the popular picnic spots of Bhubaneswar. It lies to the north of Lingaraja Temple and the idol of Lord Lingaraja is brought here for ritual bath every year. It is believed that whoever takes bath in this lake will have their sins washed away. The lake is 1300 feet long and 700 feet wide and the banks are covered with beautiful stones and trees. Many temples including Brahma Temple are located in its vicinity.
