Taj Ul Masjid means crown of mosques and was constructed during the time of Sultan Jehan Begum and the construction continued during the time of her daughter Shah Jahan Begum. It could not be completed due to insufficient funds and later it was resumed in 1971 by the efforts of Mohammad Imran Khan Nadwi Azhari and was completed in 1985.

 

The mosque has pink facade with 18 storey octagonal minarets with marble domes. It has three huge bulbous domes with attractive pillars and marble flooring. There is large tank in the courtyard. It has nine cusped multifold openings and double storied gateway. The ceilings are decorated with ornate designs of flower petals.
