If you travel to the south of the Bay of Bengal into the Indian Ocean there is the beautiful archipelago of islands located. These are the Andaman and the Nicobar islands. They are beautiful and scenic that attracts a large number of tourists to its soil every year. There are a few among these islands that are restricted for tourists as they still inhabit the descendants of the Jarawa tribe. There are a few places of historic interest here like the Cellular Jail of the British period that’s stands even today at Port Blair.

The islands of Andaman are extremely beautiful with bounteous natural reserves. There are several beaches that spread wide expanses of soft white sand. You can visit Long Islands here. There are jetty boat trips that are available to the place on a daily basis that you can avail. There are large reserves of forests and the waters here are frequented by dolphin groups too. There are seasonal camping trips also organized by the tourism board.

Then there is the Neil Islands. This is also known as a vegetable bowl for Andaman. Apart from the beautiful expanses of white sand beaches there are beautiful lands of rich greenery. You may also be able to experience and ideal village life and ambience here. Take a trip to the quaint village of Rangat which is accessible both by roads and water. There is plenty of serenity and tranquil that helps you to unwind from the bustle of daily city life. Enjoy the beauty of the Panchavati waterfalls and the turtle sanctuary of the Cutbert Beach. There is an easy to access route that you can avail to reach Mayabunder from the place. There is a mix of population from India, Bangladesh and Myanmar that makes for a pleasant culture. There are several beaches that you can travel to and enjoy the picturesque beauty and natural reserves of the mangroves along the creeks. These are very popular among tourists to this part. You can visualize some of the turtle nesting during seasons here.

To the north of Andaman Islands there is a place called Diglipur. Enjoy the vast resources of rice fields and orange cultivation here apart from the depth of marine attractions. You may also travel to Little Andaman Islands that has the beautiful waterfall at Butler Bay. There is also a palm plantation that you can visit.

A large part of your Andaman trip will be taken up in absorbing the vast natural resource of breathtaking beauty. This is especially for those living in busy cities who may find it relieving. But there are plenty of activities like trekking and camping and water sports that you can enjoy as well.
