Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya Parks is commonly called Minto Park. The foundation stone of this park was laid by Lord Minto the then Governor General of India in 1910. After the First War of Indian Independence in 1857, the power of the nation was transferred from the East India Company to the British Crown and India was made as their colony. To commemorate this event, this park was founded. There is a white memorial stone in this park with four ferocious looking lions.
