Teen Darwaza is a gorgeous gate and one of the longest and oldest gateways of Ahmedabad. It was constructed by Sultan Ahmed Shah in the year 1411 AD and has three entrances as the name suggests. They are intricately carved and originally served as the entrance to the Royal Square located within the Bhadra Fort.

Teen Darwaza is a true masterpiece of Islamic architecture and has semi circular windows that are decorated with mesh works. The central window is a manifestation of the tree of life and the five palm trees covered with snakes are shown here. This is the symbol of the Gujarat Government.
