Sidi Bashir Mosque has two minarets called shaking minarets or Jhulta minarets. These have three stories with carved balconies. If one of them is shaken a little, one can see the vibration in the other one after few seconds but the connecting passage way remains without any vibration. The cause is unknown until now and it was first observed by an English scholar in 19th century. This mosque was built by Muhammed Begada in 1452.

There is another mosque in Ahmedabad called Raj Bibi Mosque which also has the shaking minarets. However, one of the minarets was dismantled by the British government to study how it was constructed that way but could not be reestablished after that.
