Sarkhej Roza is known as the Acropolis of Ahmedabad and is one of the finest mosques here. The stone carvings and the beauty of the complex spreading over an area of 72 acres of land are worth visiting. It is a fine example of the early Islamic architectural culture. This was completed by Sultan Qutubuddin Ahmed Shah II in 1458. His successor Mehmud Begada added grandeur to it.
