kholiguda is one of the oldest village in Papadahandi Tahasil, Nabarangpur, Odisha. the name of the kholiguda can be stated based on the people what they say is that, the people of Kholiguda were supplying the leaf plate to the king's court for their use as plate to eat. leaf plate is called as kholi, to the kholi the suffix added guda, thereby the name given kholiguda.date canot be specify that when it formed between 1850-1870. kholiguda constitute of numerous caste and classes, they are bhatra, paraja, kumbhar, christians, harijan. they have their own way of living style, custome, practice, and culture etc. though it is remote village and it is known by all but it has reach heritage of its own, having unity for their land. there is no one from the hindu or aryan people. christians are more educated and others are slowly coming up. kholiguda has dense forest but due to unemployment they started to destroyed completely.
socio-religious life of the bhatra and parja people is one of the most beautiful things that we see.
