Yash Pandit Biography

Yash Pandit is an Indian film and television actor who played lead role opposite Manjari Phadnis in two successive films - Rok Sako To Rok Lo (Hindi – 2004) and Faltu (Bengali – 2006). Faltu won National award for best regional film in Bengali in the year 2006. He played lead roles in Bollywood movies - Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai? and Mr Hot Mr Kool also. He is quite popular as a television actor too. Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann as Siddharth, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as Lakshya Virani and Hum Dono Hain Alag Alag as Tappu are his noted television roles. He has also appeared as a child artist in a few Bollywood movies of 1980’s. He was seen in actress Mandakini’s lap in the controversial scene of Raj Kapoor movie, Ram teri ganga maili. Both his sisters Shraddha Pandit and Shweta Pandit are successful Bollywood playback singers.

 

His full name is Yashodhan Pandit and he was born in Bangalore on September 20, 1981. He studied at Mithabai college and has claimed that he had seven girlfriends in the past. As a child, he appeared as Mandakini’s son in the song, "Ram Teri Ganga Maili Hogi” in the movie of same name. He also acted in Chetan Anand's Haathon Ki Lakeeren as a child artist. Later he started his career through Indian television. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi made him a popular actor of small screen. His latest appearance is for Life OK's television show Savitri, where he plays lead role of Sathya.

 

He debut Bollywood happened with Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai? in 2002. In this comedy movie, he appeared alongside a list of youngsters - Prashant Chianani, Aamir Ali Malik, Vaibhav Jalani, Deepti Daryanani, Payal Rohatgi and Punarnava Mehta. But the movie was a flop. After a series of movies, he concentrated on to his television career.
