Vikramjeet Virk Biography

Vikramjeet Virk is a model turned actor from Haryana, who works in Bollywood as well as south Indian movies. Till now he has acted in 4 language movies - Hindi, Malayalam, Punjabi and Telugu, and a few television serials. Most recently he was seen in the expensive Telugu historic film Rudhramadevi playing the pivot role of Mahadeva Nayakudu. He shared screen space with Mohanlal for the Malayalam movie – Casanova, where he played antagonist Alexi. Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey and Ek: The Power of One are his Bollywood projects. He is mostly associated with Telugu movies and portrayed negative roles on screen.

He was born into a Sikh farmer’s family in Haryana on July 19, 1984. Though born in a village with a humble background, Virk dreamed to become a model since school days. His friends too thought the same, as Virk had good physique. In 2003, he moved to Delhi to do graduation and started a career in modelling at the same time. He was in a dilemma if to cut his long hair against his religious beliefs. However his desire was so strong that he cut his hair, completed portfolio and auditioned for Lakme Fashion Week. His first assignment was "Lakme India Fashion Week" and he walked on ramp for the first time on his 19^th birthday, the most beautiful moment of his life.

Later he worked with several photographers and did ramp walk for many designers. He also appeared in a few music videos. He was choosy and committed only a few modelling assignments and was well-disciplined in those days. He carved a niche for himself in the modelling world in a short time and his successful modelling career gave him opportunities in movies. Ashutosh Gowarikar's Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey marked his Bollywood debut.
