Vikramaditya Shukla Biography

Vikramaditya Shukla is a south Indian film actor who appears in Tamil and Telugu language films. Vikramaditya made his debut in the Tamil film, Whistle (2003), where he played the lead role. Later he appeared in lead and supporting roles and received limited success. He played male lead in Telugu film Manasu Palike Mouna Raagam (2006), which performed well at the box office. He played supporting roles in many films which met with critics’ failure. Some of the films are Chinna, Bambara Kannaley, Tholaipesi, Nanbanin Kadhali, Nenjathai Killadhe etc.  All these films were box office failures too.

Vikramaditya Shukla is originally from Maharashtra, though he appears in south Indian films. He got an early break to his acting career when he was casted in the lead role in Tamil romantic film, Whistle (2003), and the movie got noticed. He also tasted success through his single Telugu film, Manasu Palike Mouna Raagam where he played male lead opposite Sneha. However he concentrated only on to Tamil films, mostly in supporting roles, and never received a break he was waiting for.

He appeared in two films in a lead role, one in Tamil and one in Telugu, and 5 more Tamil films, all in supporting roles. However none of these films were box office hits. Some of his films had a delayed release, damaging his career. Nenjathai Killadhe in 2008 is his last theatre release, before he said good bye to films. When his debut flick, Whistle got released, it was a thriller with a college campus as the background. The concept was definitely new to Tamil cinema too. The movie also had a delayed release.
