Vijay Vijawatt Biography

Vijay Vijawatt is a film director and musician associated with Bollywood. He is also a writer and lyricist associated with the industry. He has also anchored many TV programs for Doordarshan during his initial days in his profession. Vijay has also shot many popular videos, and worked with several senior artists and playback singers of the industry. He penned lyrics for Bollywood songs such as “Soniye Don't go Away”, "Bhagam Bhag” from the movie Aankhon mein sapne Liye, and also penned lyrics for the songs of "Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh”, apart from several independent music albums.

Vijay Vijawatt hails from Agra, Uttar Pradesh. He often uses stage names such as V Vijay and Vivek Kumar Vijay for his stage shows and film credits. Vijay Lakshmi and Mahesh Chand are his parents. His schooling was completed from MD Jain School, and after graduation, he took master’s degree in political science from St. Johns College. During his younger days, he dreamt to join IAS. However he later changed his mind to pursue a career in entertainment industry. He moved to Delhi, where he worked in different roles. He also anchored a few TV shows for Doordarshan, and wrote lyrics for TV shows. Later he wrote songs for Bollywood films as well as music albums, and received limited success in this field too.

Vijay is a stage artist and successfully hosts stage shows too. He penned lyrics for all the songs of web series, Maaya and Twisted in the year 2017. Ek Baar from Hadh (2017) is yet another recent song, penned by Vijay. He wrote the title track of Shaniwaar: A Reply To Etwaar (2015), Nayna song of Dongri Ka Raja (2016) and many more.
