Vijay Suriya Biography

Vijay Suriya is a well-known Kannada actor and TV presenter of present-day generation. He shot to fame with the television series, Agnisakshi aired on Colors Kannada. He marked his big screen debut with 2012 movie, Crazy Loka in a parallel role and was nominated at SIIMA award for Best Debutant Male. In 2016 he bagged his first lead role through Ishtakamya, and was casted opposite Mayuri Kyatari and Kavya Shetty. Same year he also played lead role opposite Samyuktha Hornad in Sa. Though he couldn’t make it big in big screen, he finally succeeded through Kannada television.

 

Vijay Suriya was born on 7 September 1990, Bangalore. His childhood and younger days were spent in his hometown, where he completed his school and college education. Later he pursued acting degree in Whistling Woods Academy, Mumbai. He started his acting career as a child artist through television in year 2012. He was a part of the popular show, Uttarayana, which featured actress Roja in lead role. The family drama also starred actor Yash in one of his early acting roles. After his appearance in the television show, he took a break from acting to concentrate on to his studies.

 

Later he marked his screen debut in the lead role through Crazy Loka and his role got noticed. He was paired with Harshika Poonacha in his debut movie. Though he bagged a few more acting roles in films, his films flopped at box office and he moved towards television. He returned to small screen with Agnisakshi in 2013, where he played the male protagonist for long 7 years, and bagged numerous awards too. He was paired with Vaishnavi, and the role bagged him Anubandha Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role four times including a hat-trick.
