Vasundhara Kashyap Biography

Vasundhara Kashyap is a popular actress of Tamil movies. She debut with 2006 Tamil film, Vattaram and then went on appearing in Kaalaipani, Jeyamkondaan, Thenmerku Paruvakaartru and Peraanmai. Her full name is Vasundhara Chitralekha Kashyap.  She changed her name to Adhisaya when she debut movies. Later she changed it back to Vasundhara Kashyap while filming Thenmerku Paruvakaartru.


Vasundhara was born in New Delhi on 19 August 1989. She studied at Alagappa university and lives in Chennai right now. Vasundhara took part at the Viba Miss Chennai and won the 'Miss Creativity' title. It gave her dream entry to cinema. Director Saran subsequently signed her for a supporting role in the movie, Vattaram and she changed her name to Adhisaya. But the movie starring Arya and Kirat Bhattal in the leading roles was a flop at the box office. In 2007, she made a cameo appearance in Tamil flick - Unnale Unnale. Kalaipaani in the year 2008 was her big break to movies. She received critical acclaim for her performances as Samvedhna in Rajesh Selva's Kaalai Pani followed by Poongodhi in Kannan's Jayamkondaan. She became an established actress with the release of movies like – Peranmai and Thenmerku Paruvakaartru.


In Peranmai she played a full-fledged role opposite Jayam Ravi, where he played the role of a tribal forest guard who works for the welfare of tribe and spreading education among them. Vasundhara’s role name was ‘Kalpana’ in this movie. Thenmerku Paruvakaatru is a National award winning movie where she played the role of Pechi. Up to date, Poraali, released in the year 2011 is regarded as the best performance of this actress where she won a nomination for best supporting actress at Vijay Award for Best Supporting Actress. She won her first award in the form of Edison Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the movie. 

2012 marked the debut of this actress in Telugu movies. M. S. Raju's Tuneega Tuneega starring Sumanth Ashwin in the leading role marked her debut. Her two Tamil movies - Sonna Puriyathu and Chithiraiyil Nila Soru are scheduled to release soon.
