Varun Aaron Biography

Varun Aaron is an Indian cricketer who is a right arm fast bowler and right handed batsman. He plays for Jharkhand U 19 team and Jharkhand Ranji team. In the IPL tournament, he plays for Delhi Daredevils. He suffered from back injury from time to time that kept him away sometimes from active cricket in between.

 

Varun Aaron was born on 29th October 1989 in Jamshedpur in Jharkhand. His full name is Varun Raymond Aaron. His father’s name is Clement Aaron and his mother’s name is Mary Aaron. His father was his first coach who taught him the basics of fast bowling.

 

He was spotted by the talent scout at his age of 15 and he became a part of the MRF Pace Foundation. He played for Jharkhand Under 19 and for East Zone team. Later he was a part of the national Under 19 team. He had two fractures in the middle of his careers after his debut in Ranji Trophy in 2008-09 season and so he has to stay away for a while.

 

He made his ODI debut on 23rd October 2011 against England team and his test debut on 22nd November 2011 against West Indies. Apart from playing for Jharkhand team in domestic cricket, he was a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008-2010 IPL series and in the year 2011 he played for Delhi Daredevils.

 

His bowling speed exceeds 140 km/h. he took 13 wickets at the 2010-11 Ranji Trophy and bowled at a speed of 153 km/h. His performance at Australia as a member of the India Emerging Players team, he was absorbed into the ODI squad for the series in England. Though he did not play in that series, he got a chance to play against England in Mumbai in 2011.

 

In his debut match, he took three wickets for 24 runs all of them were bowled out. In his second match at Eden Gardens against England, he took one wicket. In his test debut he took three wickets for 106 runs in the first innings in the match against West Indies at Wankhede Stadium at Mumbai in November 2011.
