Varsha Ashwathi Biography

Varsha Ashwathi is a Tamil film actress who appeared in Tamil movies like Peranmai, Neerparavai and Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA. Varsha won the 'Miss Beautiful' title in the 2006 Miss Chennai contest. She debut Tamil movie in 2009, Peranmai which co-starred Jeyam Ravi. She played the character of Tulsi an NCC girl in this movie. She doesn’t have any acting experience earlier. But she is a trained Kathak dancer.

Varsha was born in Bengal. She was born on April 22, 1989 in Kolkata. Her father Rakesh Awasthi is a marine engineer. At age 4 she moved with her family to Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu and settled here. Her brothers - Rohan is a marine engineer and Sai Karan is doing matriculation at present. She did her schooling from Holy Cross Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School and later college at Chennai.

After her debut movie, she appeared in movies 3 years later. Her second movie Neerparavai was released in the year 2012 where she played the role of a girl with name Agnes. She played supporting role in this movie. Leading actors were Vishnu and Sunaina. Same year, Tamil flick Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA was also released. She got an opportunity to work with veteran actors of Tamil cinema, Sathyaraj and Manivannan. This political movie is the 50th directorial venture of Manivannan and 1994 hit, Amaidi padai.

 
Now Varsha is busy with a set of Tamil movies, Endrendrum Punnagai, Pani Vizhum Malarvanam, Va machi vaa and Kangaroo. She is all set to debut Malayalam with the movie, ‘Don’t worry Be happy’. In the interesting film directed by Shaison Ouseph, she plays a TV anchor of a reality show involving seven married couples. Endrendrum Punnagai was launched in the year 2012, and she works with experienced actors of Tamil cinema, Jiiva and Trisha.
