Varalaxmi Sarathkumar Biography 
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is an Indian film actress. Her pet name is Varu. She entered film industry through her debut movie Podaa Podi in 2012 with Simbhu.
Varalaxmi was born on 3rd March 1985 in Chennai in Tamil Nadu. She is the daughter of the popular actor R. Sarathkumar. His mother’s name is Chaya, the first wife of Sarathkumar whom he divorced after sometimes. Her step mother is Raadhika Sarathkumar and she has one younger sister named Pooja and one younger half brother Rahul and one step sister Rayanne Hardy.
She completed her MSc in management at Edinburgh University in Scotland and then did her PhD in microbiology. She joined the Anupam Kher’s acting school where she got formal training in acting. She is an excellent dancer with great skills in Bharatnatyam, Ballet, Jazz and Hiphop. For eight years she was a part of the Hot Shoe Dance Company. Her musical show Mamma Mia was choreographed by Jeffery Vardon and directed by Mithran Devanesan. Her first movie as an actress was Podaa Podi in 2012 opposite Silambarasan.
