Vaibhavi Shandilya Biography

Vaibhavi Shandilya is an Indian film actress who works in Tamil and Marathi movies. She made her debut in the Marathi film Janiva (2015), also worked in Marathi films - Lord of Shingnapur and Ekk Albela and later moved to south Indian movies. She marked her Tamil film debut with Sakka Podu Podu Raja, Kannada debut with Raj Vishnu and Telugu debut with Next Nuvve. All these south Indian debut films got released in 2017. Then she got a couple of Tamil films more - Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu released in 2018 and yet another delayed release, Server Sundaram.

Vaibhavi Shandilya was born on 27 May 1995 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She was launched in Marathi cinema aside Mahesh Manjrekar's son, Sathya for the film, Janiva in 2015. She bagged two more Marathi films - Lord of Shingnapur and Ekk Albela. Both the movies couldn’t leave a mark in Vaibhavi’s career and performed only average at box office. When she received good offers from south film industry, she accepted it. Ekk Albela was a biopic of Bhagwan Dada where she essayed the role of a Muslim girl, and Vidya Balan also appeared in the movie. But the movie opened to mixed reviews only.

In 2016, Vaibhavi signed two Tamil language films, quite incidentally opposite Santhanam — Server Sundaram and Sakka Podu Podu Raja. Sakka Podu Podu Raja released in 2017 while Server Sundaram got delayed and is slated to release in 2018 June. She also marked her debut in Kannada and Telugu film industries. She has signed one more film in Tamil - Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kutthu opposite Santosh Jeyakumar, where she plays female lead opposite Gautam Karthik.
