Urfi Javed Biography

Urfi Javed is a successful television actress associated with Hindi entertainment industry. She hails from Lucknow. She is best known for portraying the role of Aarti in the soap drama, Meri Durga aired on STAR Plus. Her role as Avni Pant in TV serial Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania (2016) also received appreciation. Chandra Nandini, Bepannaah, Tedi Medi Family, Piya Rangrezz, Saat Phero Ki Hera Pherie, Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Shaadi Boys, Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania etc are a few more shows in which she appeared. She was working in fashion industry at Delhi, before she switched to acting field.

Urfi Javed was born on October 15, 1997 into a Muslim family in Lucknow, UP. She did her schooling from City Montessori School. She completed her graduation from Amity University, where she specialized in Mass Communication. She did a correspondence course o complete graduation. She worked as assistant to a fashion designer in Delhi, before she moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting. She was working in Delhi as a colleague to a form planner. Tedi Medi Family (2015) was her debut show in her acting career.

Her role Avni Pant in Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania had comic shades, and it’s one of her best performances on small screen up-to-date. She played the part of Chandragupta Maurya’s sister in Chandra Nandini. 2 States: The Story of My Marriage by Chetan Bhagat and Wealth and Privilege by Jeanette Watts are her favourite books. Travelling and dancing are her hobbies, apart from acting. She has dated her Meri Durga co-star Paras Kalnawat for 9 months, but things didn’t work out. Paras and Urfi have called it quits.
