Tiya Gandwani is a popular actress associated with Hindi television. Padma Gandwani is the real name, and she plays notable character roles on mini screen. She is also a successful model. She marked her acting debut in 2006 through the television show, Saarrthi, which aired on Star Plus. 'Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki' and Ramayan on NDTV Imagine are her other popular roles on small screen. She currently plays the role of Mihika in Chandragupta Maurya (TV series). She also appears in episodic series like Savdhaan India and mythological & historic roles, apart from fantasy and fiction.
Tiya Gandwani is the screen name of actress Padma Gandwani. She was born on 6th December 1986 and brought up in Paratwada, Amravati district of Maharashtra. She completed her schooling from Amravati. Gandwani moved to Pune to pursue Fashion Designing course from National Institute of Fashion Designing. Soon after, she started her career in modelling and later in television shows. Choreography, modelling, ramp work, and commercials – she dabbled in various kinds of job roles during the early phase of her career.
She appeared as a contestant in Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj in 2006. It was her first introduction to mini screen. Same year she marked her acting debut as a television actress through the series, Saarrthi in a supporting role. She played the grey shaded character, Shefali in her debut series. The show was aired on Star Plus. Later she was seen in TV shows – Haunted Nights, Jai Jag Janani Maa Durga, Itti Si Khushi, Jeannie Aur Juju, Adaalat, Paramavtar Shri Krishna, Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Bal Veer and Ramayan.
