Tippu Biography 
Tippu is a south Indian playback singer who has recorded over 4000 songs. Tippu won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer for the song "Hey Paaru" from the film Raaj the Showman in 2010. He has also received the Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu in 2007. Enai Konja of Kakka Kakka, Venmathi and Oh Mama of Minnale, Title track of Something Something, Title track of Gilli, Kappa kilange of Dhool, Vada Mappiley of Villu, Mudhal Mudhalai of Lesa lesa, Ella Machi Machi of Anbe sivam, Gala Gala of KO, Raa raa of Chandramukhi and Girl Friend of Boyz are a few memorable Tamil songs of Tippu. Tippu is married to famous south Indian singer Harini. He is most popular with Kannada film industry and occasionally sings for Telugu and Malayalam as well.
Tippu was born as Ekambaresh in Ponmalai, Trichy on 1 November 1978. He was born to S. Lakshmi Narayanan and M. K. Meenakshi and he has 2 sisters. Tipu did his schooling at the Kamaraj Matric School and St. John's Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tamil Nadu. As a playback singer he has worked with Illayaraja, V. Harikrishna, Arjun Janya, A. R. Rahman, Vidhyasagar, DSP and Harris Jayaraj. With Illayaraja alone, he has recorded more than 150 songs. Among Telugu music directors, his most popular songs belong to V. Harikrishna. His voice modulation and articulated rendition in all languages made him a popular choice of all leading music directors of south.
