Tashu Kaushik Biography

Tashu Kaushik is an Indian actress and model who made her big screen debut through Ram Gopal Varma's Darwaaza Bandh Rakho in 2006. She played supporting role in this Bollywood thriller. Then after a long break of 4 years she debut south Indian movies through 2010 release - Raju Maharaju. Then she appeared in a series of Telugu movies – Dushasana, Vykuntapali and Graduate in 2011 and made her Malayalam debut in a supporting role for the movie, Annum Innum Ennum (2013). She played parallel lead in 2011 release, Graduate aside Akshay and Rithika Sood. In 2013, a series of movies were released in which she played parallel lead or supporting roles, most belonging to Telugu. She has also made Kannada debut the same year, through the movie, Cool Ganesha.

She belongs to a business family in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. She was born in the year 1985. During her childhood days, the family got settled in Mumbai where she started her modelling career and she also appeared in a Bollywood movie, Zoom. In parallel she completed her post-graduation in Arts. Her entry to Tollywood happened just by co-incidence, when she took part in an audition held at Mumbai. She got selected and she played the role of a glamorous modern girl in her debut movie. Later she got more opportunities from Telugu film industry and thus she stayed here.

She made her Malayaalm debut in Annum Innum Ennum released in 2013, followed by Escape from Uganda. In both these movies, she appeared in supporting roles. She is to debut Tamil film industry with Pazhaya Vannarapettai, and Reporter is her upcoming Telugu project. Till now she has done mostly glamourous roles in her Telugu flicks and now she looks forward to do some realistic roles.
