Taran Bajaj Biography

Taran Bajaj is a noted film and theatre actor. He is also a casting director of the industry. He is known for his performances in Love Shagun, where he played the role of casting director also. He worked as associate casting director for Bollywood films like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Fukrey, Jazbaa and Mausam, also the Tamil blockbuster, Thuppakki starring Vijay. Taran has also worked as casting director more than 100 TV ads. Wedding Pullav was his first film as an independent casting director. As an actor he was most recently seen in the controversial film starring Shahid Kapoor – Udla Punjab.

Tarun hails from Shahjahanpur district Uttar Pradesh. He came to Mumbai for the first time in 2006 to act in a play, Bharat Ke Shahedo Tumhe Naman for Yuvak Biradri started by Bollywood actress Jaya Bhadhuri. He played three different roles in the play namely Bhagat Singh, Kartar Singh and Udham Singh. Later he permanently shifted to Mumbai in 2009 to begin his career as an assistant cast director for films. Apart from being a casting director of the industry, he has also done a few supporting roles in Bollywood films for which he has played the role of an (associate) casting director.

Udla Punjab is his latest release as an associate casting director, and he played the role of Harpal in this film. Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raes is his upcoming flick. He made his first screen appearance for the movie, Love Sex Aur Dhokha in 2010. He played the brief role of Goldie in the film. Love Express, Love Shagun, Junooniyat, Zanjeer, Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi, Jazbaa, Udla Punjab etc are other releases.
