Tara D Souza Biography

Tara D'Souza is a well-established Indian model who has worked in a few Bollywood movies as well. She is a former Kingfisher Calendar girl, chosen in Kingfisher Calendar Model Hunt 2010. She made her film debut in 2006 through Telugu movie, The Angrez where she played the supporting role of Sheetal. In Bollywood she is best known for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge, both released in 2011 marking her Bollywood debut. Both these movies were commercial hits. She played the female lead in Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge and the supporting role of Pia, Ali Zafar’s girlfriend in Imran Khan – Katrina Kaif starrer, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

D'Souza was born in Hyderabad in 1986 to Andreas and Diane D'Souza. She has two siblings, a brother and a sister. Her parents are now separated. She schooled from Vidyaranya High School for Boys and Girls, Hyderabad. She started modelling while at college and shot to fame when she got selected for the prestigious Kingfisher calendar as model in the year 2010. Four years back, she has already made her film debut through a Telugu movie, though she played a less significant role. The movie was released in selected theatres only.

In 2011, she made her Bollywood debut through Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, in which she played a pivot role. The actress has won accolades from all over for her debut movie. In her second release, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge she worked with a group of young actors, Saqib Saleem, Nishant Dahiya and Saba Azad and she played the female lead, a fashion designing student. The movie was declared a hit. She started working at the age of 16 and now dreams for a big career in Bollywood.
