Tamilisai Soundararajan Biography

A physician by profession Tamilisai Soundararajan started her career as a gynaecologist and obtained special training in sonology and fetal therapy in Canada. She is the daughter of former Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President Kumari Ananthan and niece of H.Vasantha Kumar.

Soundararajan became interested in politics from childhood, having been brought up in a political family. She was elected as a student leader during her studies at Madras Medical college.Though belonging to a leading, traditionally Congress Party family, she was attracted by BJP ideology and started working full-time for BJP. She served the Tamil Nadu state BJP unit in various capacities starting from South Chennai District) in 2005, State General Secretary in 2007, State Vice President in 2010 and elevated as National Secretary, All India BJP in 2013 Medical Wing Secretary in 1999, State General Secretary Medical Wing in 2001, All India Co-Convenor (Medical Wing For Southern States.

Political Experience:-

15 years of Full time commitment to BJP  for party work and Development of BJP in the State.
Interested in Politics from Childhood as born and bought up in a political family.
STUDENT LEADER – During Student Days in Madras Medical College.
Through belongs to a leading traditionally congress family attracted by RSS & BJP ideology. Working  full time for the party past 15 years.

Popular in Political Debates in All leading Tamil Channels and known for assertive views with knowledge of current affairs and effective communication credited with taking the message of BJP to every doorsteps in Tamilnadu for last 15 years.

She is viewed as the face of BJP affectionately called by party cadres as ” Sushmaji of Tamilnadu” .Her elocution and debating  skills are well appreciated in the media and public. Outlook magazine debate on Moral Policing is one of her land mark performance which brought her nation wide name and fame.

She has  Conducted a very successful programme of Oratory Skills for students and children’s  in the famous Tamil Channel ‘RAJ TV’ for more than 10 years which had a very good TRP rating.
Conducted a popular weekly programme for women in ‘DOORDARSHAN’ Channel which was aired as Magalir Panchayat (Women’s Court) for over  5 years.

Participated in several political debates with other political leaders in leading TV Channels including SUN TV, NDTV,Headlines Today, TIMES NOW, London Radio, BBC AND LOCAL CHANNELS.

Spokes Person of the Party handled Media effectively for 10 years. Known for cordial relation and respect from other political Leaders in the state in view of her Father’s political legacy and social status as a practicing Medical Professionals. Her Ultrasound professional skills has brought her close to leading doctors and patients..
