Swapna Dutt Biography

Swapna Dutt is a well-known film producer of Telugu film industry. She is the daughter of well-known producer and distributor C. Ashwini Dutt. Her sister, Priyanka Dutt is also a film producer. Priyanka is married to film director & screenwriter from Hyderabad, Nag Ashwin. Her father is the founder of Vyjayanthi Movies. One of the youngest film producers of Indian film industry, she started off as associate producer at an age of just 18, with the movie, Azad. Later she joined hands with father and also her sister for producing several movies, under her family banner Vyjayanti Movies and a few more. Sisters also revived Swapna Cinema in 2014 and the first attempt under this banner, Yevade Subramanyam was declared hit in box office.

Swapna Dutt was born on 30 August 1981 in Vijayawada. She belongs to a family of film producers, which their own production company, Vyjayanthi Movies founded by her father. Later she along with her sister Priyanka stepped into production field. Her brother-in-law Nag Ashwin too is a film producer of Telugu film industry, who has most recently stepped into direction field as well. She has one more sister, Sravanthi Dutt who is into hospitality sector. The family has produced several hit films with new sensation, Vijay Devarakonda, whose upcoming venture is Mahanadi. Swapna is married to Prasad Varma since 2010.

She holds an MBA Degree from Ohio University. While doing her business course, she has assisted her father in the production house and several projects. Later she decided to create a path of her own in the media industry, and stepped into it, where she succeeded. Soon after completing her MBA, she founded Vyjayanthi Televentures Pvt.Ltd, one of the popular television production houses of Telugu entertainment industry. On 2014 Swapna launched Swapna Cinema aside her sister.
