Sushma Raj is an upcoming film actress associated with south Indian movies. She plays both lead roles and supporting roles. She is associated with cinema since 2013, and was last seen in lead role in Tamil film - India Pakistan (2015), which received good reviews from critics and well performed at box office also. Made her film debut in 2013 with Kannada film Madarangi, she played pivot role in Telugu psychological thriller, Maaya released in 2014. Joru was her second Telugu release. The bilingual horror film – Nayaki, Telugu film - Eedu gold ehe and Tamil film - Jindhaa are her upcoming projects.

Sushma was born in Bangalore on 19 January 1991. She was born into a Telugu family settled in Bangalore. She did a fashion designing course and dreamt to become a model. Films – were not in her dreams. She used to appear in modelling shows, as a part of her fashion designing course. Subsequently she was approached by some people in film industry. Though she was not interested in joining the industry, she was encouraged by her mother and friends. That’s how she reached the new world of celluloid.

When she finally took decision to join film industry, she desired to become a part of Telugu entertainment industry. She got a call from the team of Maaya, she attended audition and finally got selected for a supporting role. The movie was directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Neelakanta. Before Maaya got released, she got her second Telugu film – Joru, and completed its shooting as well. She was casted opposite Sundeep Kishan. But the movie failed at box office. With the Tamil romantic comedy, India Pakistan (2015) opposite Vijay Antony, she has made a promising entry to Tamil cinema.
