Surveen Chawla Biography

Surveen Chawla is an Indian actress who works most in Punjabi movies as heroine. She is popular with Indian television audience with the comedy show, Comedy Circus Ke SuperStars of Star entertainment television, where Surveen appeared as host. She made debut through small screen for the daily soap, Kahin to hoga. She debut big screen through south Indian movies and later moved to television and Punjabi movies. Paramesha Panwala, Kannada movie released in 2008 is her debut movie, followed by Telugu debut Raju Maharaju the next year. However she got big break through Punjabi movies. For her debut Punjabi movie, Dharti released in 2011, she received PTC Punjabi Film Award for Best Female Debut. Same year she made a cameo appearance in Bollywood movie, Hum tum Shabana too.

 
Surveen was born in Chandigarh. Surveen made her debut as Charu in the serial Kahin To Hoga. Kasak in Kasautii Zindagi Kay and lead role in the daily soap, Kaajal are her first successful television works before she entered big screen. She also appeared in reality dance show Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena, where she paired up with Indian cricketer S. Sreesanth. In 2011, she debut big screen opposite Jimmy Shergill in Punjabi movie, Dharti. The movie won 6 awards at PTC awards including best female debut. Thus she made a successful start with Punjabi movies.

 
Later she has acted in four more Punjabi films - Taur Mittran Di, Saadi Love Story, Singh vs Kaur and Lucky Di Unlucky Story. She was paired opposite Amrinder Gill in the movies, Saadi Love Story and Taur Mittran Di. In the year 2012, she debut Tamil with Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal. Her upcoming Tamil projects are Jai Hind 2 and Puthiya Thiruppangal. She has done a cameo appearance in Bollywood movie, Himmatwala and her second project is Ugly.
