Surbhi Jyoti Biography

Surbhi Jyoti is a talented and very successful actress of Indian television. Qubool Hai – is one of her widely famed television series and she is best known for her role as 'Zoya'. She currently plays her fifth role, Mahira Akhtar in the same series. She has also played Zoya’s daughter Sanam in the series. Winning numerous television awards over the years, she is one of the most popular faces on mini screen. She has also done a few Punjabi movies, though she is fully active in television. Her onscreen chemistry with Karan Singh Grover, and also Karanvir Bohra has been widely appreciated and has helped her to win many awards. She has also own favourite popular face on mini screen award and best entertainer award at Indian Telly Awards, Zee Rishtey Awards etc several times.

She belongs to Jalandhar, Punjab. Her father is a businessman, and her mother – a homemaker. She holds a Master of Arts degree in English from Apeejay College of Fine Arts. She was actively involved with regional theater and movies, before she entered television. She appeared in Punjabi movies - 'Ik Kudi Punjab Di', 'Raula Pai Gaya' and 'Munde Patiala De', before entering mini screen.

She first entered Punjabi television with series' Akiyaan To Door Jayen Na and Kach Diyan Wanga, before she bagged ‘Qubool Hai’ in 2012. There was no looking back after that. She is better known as the face of 'Qubool Hai' since its inception and has been paired with 7 heroes till now - Karan Singh Grover, Raqesh Vashisht, Rishabh Sinha, Vikrant Massey, Shehzad Sheikh, Karanvir Bohra and Varun Toorkey. Apart from acting, she has also performed live for many stage shows. She is not a foodie and loves homemade meals and rotis. Only food she loves is Panipuri.
