Surbhi Chandna Biography

Surbhi Chandna is a well-known artist associated with Hindi television entertainment industry. She played the parallel lead, Haya in Zee TV's popular daily soap Qubool Hai, for which she is known most. It was her breakthrough role in her professional career as well. Currently she plays the female lead in Ishqbaaaz, broadcasted on Star Plus. She plays the role of Anika, the love interest of one of the male leads, Nakuul Mehta in this series right now. She also appears in Dil Boley Oberoi, since 2017. She played cameo roles in Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi...Meri Bhabhi, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah etc, and also an episodic role of Aahat.

Surbhi is of Delhi origin belonging to a Punjabi family. But she hails from Mumbai, where she was born in 1989. She is currently settled with her parents in Mumbai. She has one elder sister. Surbhi is an MBA graduate and a trained Bharatanatyam dancer too. After her Business Management studies, she had a brief career in professional field before she switched to acting. She was inclined towards theatre since younger days, though none of her family members or close relative circle was associated with acting field. She attended theatre workshops since young and slowly got drawn towards acting.

Surbhi did several ad-shoots and TV commercials before she turned a full-time actor on television. She was persuaded by one of the friends of her mother, and finally decided to join acting field. She was seen in a brief role of Sweety in the very famous, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2009. In 2014 she bagged the parallel lead role of Haya Imran Qureshi in the series, Qubool Hai which made her a popular actor. She has also presented reality shows and award nights, and made a brief appearance in Vidya Balan starrer Bollywood film, Bobby Jasoos.
