Sunny Viswanath Biography

Sunny Viswanath is a music composer and musician from south India, associated with south Indian music. His real name is Viswanath K. N, and is nicknamed Sunny. Professionally he is known as Sunny Viswanath. He is associated with independent music, and he hails from Kozhikode, Kerala. He also worked as a journalist and columnist with Mathrubhumi for its Film publication Chithrabhumi for 5 years. He also works as an event Manager and an artist co-ordinator. Sunny has composed music and also singles for a few Malayalam films such as Sthithi, Kshatriyan and Isra.

 

Sunny Viswanath hails from Kozhikode, Kerala, and currently he is settled in Ayyanthole, Thrissur with his wife Priya Viswanath. He started learning music at the age of 4. At the age of 7, he started playing music with amateur bands. During his early teens, he decided to follow his dreams and enter the professional world of music. At the age of 14, he became a professional artist. He learnt 7 musical instruments, and tabla is his most favourite one. Started off with local music bands, he has later performed with many leading brands of the country, and has performed outside India too.

 

As an independent musician and composer, he has released three music albums up-to-date. Janmangalai, Malayali penne and Chinmaya Geethangal are those three released albums. He has performed with various International singers like Zenya Bashford, Samantha Coe, Violet Won etc and some of the leading playback singers of Indian music industry.  Sunny worked with Magnasound for more than 5 years in various job roles, and has worked with Chithrabhumi film magazine for Mathrubhumi for 5 more years. He served as Bureau chief of Southern Side Magazine.
