Sunil Grover Biography

Sunil Grover is an Indian actor who works in movies, television and theater. He is also a successful radio jockey, VJ and anchor. He is well known for playing the role of Fakira in Bollywood movie Zila Ghaziabad. After taking degree in commerce, he took master’s degree in theatre from Chandigarh to pursue a career in acting. Now he is immensely popular with Comedy Nights with Kapil, where he plays the role of a village girl, Gutthi. He also hosts a special series on Radio Mirchi called "Hassey Ke Phuarey". He has won the RAPA Award for the same show on Radio Mirchi.

He has also been successful as a host who has hosted many shows on Indian television like Kya Aap Paanchvi Fail Champu Hain and Kaun Banega Champu on Sahara Filmy, Dekh Video Dekh on Colors, Hans Balliye on STAR One and Challa Lallan Hero Banane on Filmy. Currently he is a part of successful comedy show on Colors - Comedy Nights with Kapil, where he plays the character role of a woman, Gutthi. The show is very successful. In one of his earlier stand up comedies Hans Baliye, he has played the role of Gutthi. But it was the Kapil show which put real impact on the viewers. The character Gutthi is the real star of the show and has lot of fans in social networking sites including facebook.

Sunil was born on August 3, 1984. He is also known by the name, Sudarshan. He belongs to a small town place of Dabwali on Haryana-Rajasthan border. He started his television career with hosting Dekh Video Dekh on Colors, followed by Hans Balliye on STAR One. He had a hobby to imitate his relatives and present it before others. It was his first comedy/mimicry experience. Sunil has also appeared in a few movies in character roles. Pyar to hona hi tha, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Ghajani, Mumbai cutting and Family: Ties of Blood are a few such. Zila Ghaziabad released in 2013 is his most significant work.
