Sunder Sukka Biography 
Sunder Sukka is an Indian artist from the south Indian state of Telangana. He is a painter by profession. His wife Karuna Sukka is also an Indian printmaker and painter based in Telangana state, best known for her works with large-scale wood-cuts to make prints. His father is a Golla Suddula performer, similar to street dramas meant for social awareness. In 2011 the couple conducted an exhibition of paintings and prints at Shrishti Art Gallery, Hyderabad. Sunder Sukka has conducted one solo exhibition titled ‘Discourse of Life’ at Tamkanat Art Gallery, Hyderabad in 2014, while his wife owns two solo exhibitions to her credit. The couple has been a part of several group exhibitions over the years.
Sunder Sukka was born into a family of artists in 1978. He hails from Mahboobnagar district of Telangana State. He conducted his first exhibition in 2007, and first solo exhibition in 2014. His first solo art show was titled - Discourse of a People. He is married to printmaker and painter Karuna Sukka and the couple has one daughter. He regards each art work as a memory, and he portrays rural life through his paintings. Interestingly majority of his paintings have people with lambs in hand.
His first stint with paint and brush was at the age of 10, when he tried to portray the historic character of Rani Rudramadevi. His elder brother, a signboard artist inspired him a lot to become a painter, while his parents also supported him. He also got encouragement from his friends and teachers to pursue a career in this field. He also completed B.F.A Painting. He was a recipient of ‘Junior fellowship’, Ministry of Culture, New Delhi for the year 2011-13.
