Sukrutha Wagle Biography

Sukrutha Wagle is a popular actress from Kannada film industry. She is a successful model too. She marked her film debut with 2013 Kannada film, Jatta and won Best actress Chitrasanthe Awards for the lead role of Sagarika she played in the film. She later appeared in the films, Bahuparaak, Flop For Hit, Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu, Megha Alias Maggi and Dayavittu Gamanisi. She played a triple role in 2015 film, Flop For Hit. Currently she is one of the most sought actresses of Kannada cinema. She also appeared in the short films, The False Promise, Life Cycle and Vishala Hrudayada Kannadigaru.

Wagle hails from Manipal, Karnataka. Born to Smitha and Sadananda Wagle, she has one younger sister. Born in Manipal, the family later moved to Chitradurga, where she grew up and completed her education. She started her career as a model and a photographer. She worked as an air hostess for three years before her film debut. In 2013, she marked her acting debut with highly acclaimed Jatta, the movie which won state award for best film the same year. She played a feminist in her debut flick, where she was paired with Kishore. The film received praises from all corners, including the acting and the chemistry of the lead pair.

After an impressive debut in films, she got many offers from film industry as well as for short films, and she accepted both. She plays the daughter of Srinagar Kitty in her second film, Bahuparaak. She played the role of a sadistic, tomboy villain in Megha Alias Maggi. Apart from her film appearances, she also contested in Kannada reality show Bigg boss Kannada 4, where she was a wild card entry.
