Suhani Kalita Biography

Suhani Kalita is an Indian film actress and model. She has acted over 50 films belonging to Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Bengali language films. She started her film career as a child artist in 1996 and later moved on to adult roles since 2007. She is a winner of Nandi Award for Best Child Actress in the year 2000. She won the award for the movie, Hindustan - The Mother where she appeared in the role of Harini. She predominantly worked in Telugu movies and Eduruleni Manishi, Anandamanandamaye, Manasanta Nuvve, Naa Hrudayamlo Nidurinche Cheli, Ela Cheppanu, Premante Idera, Ganesh and Bala Ramayanam are her noted roles as a child artist in Telugu cinema. She also appeared as a child artist in 2002 Bollywood movie, Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein which starred Fardeen Khan and Richa Pallod in lead roles.

She was born in Hyderabad in 1991. She spent her childhood days in her hometown. She is currently pursuing MBA from ISB Hyderabad. She started her career as a child artist with Telugu movies in the year 1996, Bala Ramayanam and after that she has been regularly featured in many films including Bengali, Tamil and Hindi. She made her adult debut with the movie, Savaal in 2007 which earned her Filmfare best debutant award. Krushi, Srisailam and Sneha Geetham are her other Telugu releases. Sukumar is her upcoming movie.

In 2010 she made her Tamil debut in lead role with the movie, Irandu Mugam. The movie also featured Sathyaraj and Karan in the lead roles, but was poorly received by audience. Appavi is her upcoming Tamil release. She is a successful model also.
