Sudheendra Kulkarni Biography

Sudheendra Kulkarni born in Athani, Belgam District of Karnatka, was educated at Jadhavji Anandji High School in Athani in Belgaum. He completed his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Civil Engineering 1975-1980 from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. 

Sudheendra Kulkarni is an Indian politician and columnist who lives in New Delhi and is a former member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and BJP. Sudheendra Kulkarni joined Bharatiya Janata Party in 1996 but resigned in 2009 on differences of opinion.  He had said of switch of his ideology that people like him were living in a world of illusion and when he realized that the Marxist ideology is not suitable for India or the entire world, he left it.

Kulkarni has worked for Blitz as an Executive Editor, Edited and owned by Russi Karanjia. Later Kulkarni Kulkarni revealed that Karanjia was initially sympathetic with Communist ideology but later felt bad with its anti-Hindu secularism. Kulkarni then became a strong supporter of BJP and the Ayodhya movement, which helped him gain the position of as deputy editor of a BJP oriented publication.

Kulkarni worked with India Shining campaign during AB Bajpeyi government and he was the one who rode on the inaugural Delhi–Lahore Bus. He helped Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee writing with his speeches and also worked as a strategist for Lal Krishna Advani. In January 2012, Kulkarni rejoined BJP as an advisor to its president, Nitin Gadkari but resigned again in 2013. 

Kulkarni had always been associated with disputes and the biggest drama came on 12th of October when he was painted with black ink by Shivsena activists for his alleged involvement in launching of the book of former Pakistani foreign minister Kassori. In 2008 also he was involved with a sting operation which involved him and another BJP activist.
