Suchitra Krishnamoorthi Biography

Suchitra krishnamoorthi is a successful pop singer, model and a film celebrity. She is a successful painter and writer also. She was formerly married to director Shekhar Kapoor and they broke their relationship in the year 2007. As a heroine, her movies include Kabhi haan Kabhi naa, opposite Shah Rukh Khan and this hit movie is regarded as a classic comedy during early 90’s.  Her come back movie opposite Anil Kapoor was ‘My wife’s murder’ in the year 2005. Her other movies include ‘Karma, Confessions and Holi’ and Rann. As a pop singer, her popular albums include Dole dole, Aha, Zindagi and Dum tara and she was often pictured in those music videos during 90’s alone or along with Shekhar Kapoor. She is a trained vocalist who has taken formal training in classical singing and she sings in Gwalior Kharana style.  After her divorce, she is actively participating in charity work and a few associated NGOs. Her daughter’s name is Kaveri. She has been a successful model and has worked for brands like Palmolive soap, Sunrise Coffee, Colgate toothpaste, Limca and Clearasil.

 

As an actress she started her acting career long back, when she was at school. It was a Doordarshan tele serial named Chunauthi during the period 87-88. Then she acted in Peanuts – The musical. Slowly she turned to modeling and was a success model of many television ads.  Among her ads, Sunrise coffee and Limca were quite popular during early 90’s. By this time, she acted in a Malayalam movie opposite Jayaram, Kilukkampetti. She played the role of a professional lady who is a widow and mother of an 8 year old kid. At a comparatively younger age, she performed well as a professional and as a mother of the kid.  

 

Apart from acting and singing skills, she is an accomplished poet and painter. She has studied abroad in mastering the art of painting and has conducted exhibitions all over India and in many foreign countries. But according to her it’s the blessing of Lord Ganesha during Vinayaka Chathurthi in 2004 that she took painting brush in her hand for the first time. She is a successful blogger also who writes online.
