Ssumier Pasricha is a very popular actor and comedian associated with Hindi television industry. He has been a part of several international movies and has been a part of several theater works as a stage actor. He is also known for his strong resemblance with King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. As a television actor, the role of "Shailu" in the TV soap, Sasural Simar Ka, and the lead role of a transgender, Manabi Bandyopadhyay in Code Red are his best known roles. He hails from Delhi, born in the year 1980. He originally belongs to a Punjabi family, settled with business in Delhi. He learnt Kuchipudi dance form for 5 years from Raja and Radha Reddy, apart from receiving training for 13 years in Indian classical music. For higher studies he went to Australia. At that time, he also had a brief stint as a radio jockey. He was an active member of Indian Society of Western Australia.
