Sriman (actor) Biography

Sriman is a south Indian actor best known for portraying character roles and supporting roles. He is the son of famous film maker, Prakash Reddy. His most noted performances belong to Tamil movies -Aayutha Ezhuthu, Panchathanthiram, Pokkiri and Aegan. Real hero, Ayodhyaramaiya, Sneham ante ideyraa, Top hero, Badilee, Aammaleyniputtillu, Maaintiaadapaduchu, Naga sakthi, Taamboolalu, Seshu and Brahmachari are his Telugu movies. He entered film industry in the mid-1970’s as a child artist and made his adult debut during mid-1990’s.

He was born to Prakash Reddy who produces movies under the banner of Panchajanyaha. He was a dancer who entered film industry as a group dancer who later started making low budget movies. Bangarumanasulu in 1975 was Sriman’s first film where he appeared as a child artist, followed by a few more releases. Later he took a break from acting to concentrate on to his studies. His education was done at Chennai right from schooling and completed B.Com degree in Pachayappa College. While he was doing second year at college, he was offered the first adult role by Director Satyareddy. He was interested in seeing Sriman doing dance shows in family functions. Actually Sriman is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. Thus his debut movie, Dongalunnaru Jagartha was released in the year 1993. But the movie was a box office failure.

But his role in Dongalunnaru Jagartha helped him to reach Tamil film industry. He was spotted by director Vikraman who gave him supporting role in Puthiya Mannargal, followed by Love Today. Though his debut Tamil movie too was a failure, his talent was noticed and he got many roles in Tamil. Now he is more busy in Tamil than Telugu and regularly featured in Kamal Hassan’s comedy flicks.
