Sridevika Biography

Sridevika is a south Indian film actress who has played lead and supporting roles in all the four south Indian languages. She received limited success for the roles she portrayed on screen. She joined film industry in the year 2004 and has been active in the film industry till her marriage in March 2010. After marriage, she retired from acting and settled with her family life. Yet she is associated with entertainment industry behind the reels. Currently she serves as the Director of Malayalam fun web series called Random Wekaram started in 2017. She also plays a brief role in upcoming Mollywood flick starring Tovino Thomas, Oru Kuprasidha Payyan.

As an actress she predominantly worked in Malayalam movies, apart from a few Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films.  Her real name is Sreedevi Panicker. She hails from Palakkad, Kerala. As a film actress she marked her acting debut with Tamil films in 2004, followed by Telugu and Kannada and subsequently in Malayalam since 2007, where she concentrated towards the end of her career before marriage in 2010. After marriage too, she made brief appearances in a few Malayalam movies.

Sreedevi Panicker marked her acting debut with 2004 Tamil flick, Ramakrishna, a family drama directed by Agathyan. She played the female lead opposite Jai Akash in the movie. The movie was a commercial failure. But she got chance to appear a few more Tamil and other language movies, in lead and parallel lead roles.

She played lead roles in Tamil movies such as Anbe Vaa, Andha Naal Nyabagam, and parallel lead in Telugu movie, My Autograph. Avan Chandiyude Makan, Parthan Kanda Paralokam, Chempada and Manjadikuru are some of her works in Malayalam. She married Rohit Ramachandran, an airline pilot in 2010, and later worked in a few Malayalam movies only.
