Sri Priyanka Biography

Sri Priyanka is an upcoming actress of Tamil film industry. She made her film debut with 2013 movie - Nila Meedhu Kadhal, followed by her first lead role in Agadam (2014), a horror thriller. 13 Am Pakkam Parkka was her second release in 2014. However she got noticed for the lead role of Azhgu in 2015 release – Kangaroo, where she shared screen space with newcomer Arjuna and Varsha Ashwathi. It was a low budget film directed by Samy, music by Srinivas and lyrics written by Vairamuthu. She was also seen in the movie - Vandha Mala. Her real name is Priyanka Gunasekaran and she is a native of Puducherry.

Now a series of movies are in the pipeline. She mostly plays slum girl or village girl in all the movies till now and she will be seen in an urban role in the upcoming flick - Tirupathi Laddu. She has been paired with Vijay Vasanth in the commercial film. The actress is also shooting for Saaral, in which she is paired with Azhar. Reengaram is also a much awaited project for Sri Priyanka in 2016.

In 2014 during the film shooting of the movie - Kodai Mazhai, she was slapped by her fellow actor, Kalanjiyam for one of its film scenes. Priyanka got injured on the ear and fainted on the sets soon after and the occurrences lit up a lot of controversies later. The actress’s father Gunasekaran was pursuing to file a police complaint against the director and actor soon after she was admitted in the hospital, and also claimed that Priyanka won’t act in the movie further. But later the misunderstandings were sort out by film director Union and she returned back to film shooting.
