Sreevalsan J. Menon Biography 
Sreevalsan J. Menon is a Carnatic vocalist and a music composer from Thrissur, Kerala. He did his initial training under Rajalakshmi Krishnan and later from violinist T.V. Ramani and advanced learning from Neyyattinkara Vasudevan. Sreevalsan is an 'A' grade artist of All India Radio and has given concerts nationwide. He has also given concerts in Middle East, US, UK and a few more countries. In 2013, he received Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award from the Madras Music Academy. His jugalbandis with Ramesh Narayan, Sankaran Embranthiri and Kalamandalam Hyderali are immensely popular.
Menon has released several albums and has also composed music for a few movies. As a film music director, his works are My Mother's Laptop, T. D. Dasan Std. VI B and Saint Dracula 3D. He debut with My Mother's Laptop in 2008 and his upcoming projects are London Bridge and Swapnadanam. His released albums include - Krishna - A Musical Reflection, Begane Baro, Ramanan, Vismaya - Emotional Expressions, Navarasa Thillana , Sringaram , Madhuram Gayati, Manasa Smarami, Monsoon Anuraga , Classical Encounters (with guru Sri. Neyyatinkara Vasudevan), Kshetranjali, Jugal Bandi in two volumes, and a few more.
Sreevalsan's music albums are fresh and innovative. His most appreciated works include Vismaya - Emotional Expressions, which he sung aside Urmila Varma and Bini Panicker. It’s a fantasy video album featuring Artist Namboodiri, M T Vasudevan Nair and himself. At present, he is an Associate Professor at the Kerala Agricultural University in Thrissur and doing Ph D in Agricultural Extension from IARI, New Delhi. He is a native of Kunissery in Palakkad district and now resides at Thrippunithura. Sreevalsan's 2 songs ("I Be Here" & "I Have Secrets") and background score for Saint Dracula were nominated at 85th academy awards.
