Sreenath Aravind Biography

Sreenath Aravind is an Indian cricketer from Bangalore, Karnataka. He plays IPL matches and made his international debut in T20 matches in 2015. He made his Twenty20 International debut for India against South Africa on 2 October 2015. In his debut match he took 1 wicket after bowling 22 balls. He is a team member of Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the 2011 Champions League Twenty20, he played six matches for Royal Challengers Bangalore. His team managed to reach the finals, though lost the trophy to Mumbai Indians. He plays for Karnataka in the domestic cricket matches and serves as a Left-arm medium-fast bowler to him team.

 

Sreenath Aravind was born in Bangalore, Karnataka in the year 1984. He made his first-class debut in 2008. Sreenath is one among those rare bowlers who has the capability to bowl in two different styles. He bowls both left arm fast and left arm spin. He has done some outstanding and match winning performances in domestic circuit as well as IPL games to play his first international match at the age of 31. In 2008 Sreenath suffered from a major accident that was career threatening too. He underwent a surgery on his knee. Yet he returned in a bang and displayed some outstanding performances in the game. Sreenath plays for Karnataka in domestic cricket.

 

When England toured India in 2011, he was selected to national team. But he couldn’t grab a position in the final eleven to play an international match. He thus ended his debut series as a bench-warmer. During the 2014-15 Ranji Trophy season, he played a key role for his team Karnataka and took 4/52 against Tamil Nadu. He made a comeback to IPL season in 2015 and was a team member of Royal challengers Bangalore.
