Sree Raam Biography

Sree Raam is a child artist of Tamil cinema, who shot to fame playing the role of Jeeva Nithyanandham in 2009 highly acclaimed film – Pasanga. The story moved around the rivalry between two village school kids, Anbu and Jeeva. His outstanding performance earned him National Film Award for Best Child Artist for the year 2009. Pasanga was only his second release, after Kattradhu Thamizh released two years earlier. Later he played significant child roles in numerous Tamil films and was last seen in Kamal Hassan starrer Papanasam, where he portrayed the role of Cheramadurai, Kamal Hassan’s assistant at the cable TV office. Vajram, Goli Soda and Jilla are his other recent releases.

 

After his child artist debut as Young Prabhakar in 2007 movie, Kattradhu Thamizh, Sree Raam made a breakthrough appearance for Pandiraj's debut movie as a director Pasanga (2009). His role as Jeeva Nithyanandham Chokkalingam earned him National Film Award for Best Child Artist. The movie told the love and hatred between two kids – the roles enacted by Sree Raam and Kishore ds. Later Sree Raam was seen portraying the role of younger version of lead actor for many movies.

 

He portrayed Young Shiva in Thamizh Padam, Young Karthik in Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai, Young Selvam in Venghai, Young Ramana in Vandhaan Vendraan and Young Aadhi Kesavan in Jilla. Now he has moved to teenager/adult roles. He played the pivot role of Saettu in 2014 release Goli Soda, a box office hit. The movie also starred Kishore ds, with whom he has shared screen space for Pasanga. The boys teamed up as teenagers once again for a box office hit. He played a cable boy in the recent release – Papanasam.
