Sooraj Santhosh Biography 
Sooraj Santhosh is an Indian playback singer, who sings in multiple language films. He is associated with Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Bangla language films as a playback singer, and is the lead vocalist of the band Masala Coffee at present. The music band formed in 2014 debuted the same year on the television music show Music Mojo on Kappa TV. The band performs basically in the genres of Indian folk, blues, pop and rock, and is indeed popular among Malayalam music lovers. The band has also performed singles for films such as Solo, Uriyadi and Hello Namaste.
Sooraj Santhosh was born on 19 September, 1987 in Kollam, Kerala. His father, Santhosh Kumar is a senior administrative assistant in the forest department, while his mother, Jayakumari is a teacher. His younger brother Dheeraj is an engineer working at IBM. Born in Kollam, he shifted to capital city where he completed his schooling at Government Model Boys Higher Secondary School and graduation from MG College. He also completed his M.Com at Mar Ivanious College, Thiruvananthapuram. Sooraj married Anjali Panicker, an interior designer and classical dancer in 2016, and currently the couple is settled in Chennai. He shifted to the metro city in the year 2009.
He has been a regular participant of youth festivals since school days and won many prizes at school and college level. He represented Kerala University in the South Zone Inter-University Youth Festival and was declared the winner three years in a row – 2009, 2010 and 2011. He also participated in the National Inter University Youth Festival. He regards Carnatic musician Kudamaloor Janardanan as his mentor, who taught him the basics of music. Sooraj Santhosh is the co-founder and lead vocalist of Masala Coffee, and the band is regularly featured in musical shows on television as well as filmy music.
