Sonu Satheesh Kumar Biography 
Sonu Satheesh Kumar, shortly called Sonu SK is a popular television actress associated with Malayalam entertainment industry. Shot to fame playing the grey shaded role in ‘Streedhanam’, this actress excelled in this character adding comic elements and dialogues to it. She has hosted a few shows and appeared in one Tamil serial as well. She played female lead in Tamil serial, ‘Anbe Vaa’, for which she received positive responses from audience and even a fan club was opened in her name. She is a trained Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi dancer. She is also the winner of the reality show Sundari Neeyum Sundaran Njanum.
Sonu hails from capital city of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. Her father Satheesh Kumar works in Merchant Navy while her mother Sreekala is a Homeopathic doctor at Thiruvananthapuram. She completed graduation from Mar Ivanious College Thiruvananthapuram and PG from Vazhuthacaud Women’s college. Sonu dreamt to become a doctor since childhood, while her mother dreamt her daughter to become a dancer. She started formal training in Bharatnatyam at the age of 3 and has completed diploma in both Kuchipudi and Bharatnatyam. Currently she is doing PG in Kuchipudi at Aliens University, Bangalore.
She became Kalathilakam while studying in standard 9 and that’s how she got her first television offer. She compared a show called ‘Vaal Kannadi’ followed by the reality show – Super Dancer. Saji Surendran watched her in one of such episodes and that’s how she got her first television offer. She did negative role for the first time in ‘Thulabharam’, followed by ‘Stree Dhanam’, through which she established herself as a star. She also acted in serial ‘Guruvayurappan’ for more than two years. She is a foodie and loves fish dishes most.
