Sonia Singh is a noted television actress associated with Hindi entertainment, known for playing negative shaded characters and vamp roles. She made her acting debut in 2005 with the TV drama - Kumkum aired on Star Plus where she portrayed the role of Antara. It was followed by the supporting role of Sush in the TV series Bhabhi. She got noticed for playing vamp role in Kumkum, and since then she has received numerous negative shaded characters for small screen. She has also played a double role in the TV series Naagin. Her role as Dr. Kirti Mehra in STAR One's most popular show Dill Mill Gayye was also well received by TV viewers. She played a negative role in Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga.

Ssshhhh Phir Koi Hai, Bhagyavidhata, Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Dill Mill Gayye, Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga, Parichay, Veer Shivaji and Doli Saja Ke are some of her popular TV roles. Sonia has once turned down a role for a Bollywood film starring Big B, as she was to appear in a bold avatar. Though she has played several negative roles on small screen, she doesn’t want to appear in movies which requires her to do exposure and bold scenes. Swaragini are her recent show for television. She also appeared in the episodic show, Darr Sabko Lagta Hai on &TV.

Sonia Singh was born 4 November 1985 in Lucknow, UP. She made her acting debut in 2005 through Ekta Kapoor’s Kumkum. Sonia was only 17 years old when she got married to Avinash Bobby, who has written television scripts such as Kamal and Koi Apna Sa. Dr Kirti of the serial Dil Mil Gaye is one among the positive roles she played on small screen and received positive response from audience as well.
