Smita Bansal is a popular television actress of Hindi. She is known for the roles, Balika Vadhu, Amanat, Aashirwad and Sarhadein. She played the role of Himesh Reshammiya’s sister Pinky in 2008 Bollywood remake – Karzzzz. Balika Vadhu is one of her most popular television series which earned her Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and many other awards. She played the role of Princess in 1998 acclaimed movie scripted by M. T. Vasudevan Nair, Daya. It happened to be her first big screen appearance. The movie starred Manju Warrier and Krishna in pivot roles. She also appeared in Karishma Kapoor starrer Hum To Mohabbat Karega in 1999.

Smita Bansal was born in Jaipur on February 21, 1978. She reached Mumbai to pursue her career in entertainment industry. She later played numerous memorable roles on Indian television and is a popular actress till now. Her cute looks as heroine for the brand shows, Amanat and Sarhadein were popular. C. I. D, Daal Mein Kala, Sanjivani, X Zone, Aashirwaad, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Kohi Apna Sa are other noted appearances. She played the lead role of Tulsi in the serial titled ‘Tulsi’.

Currently she appears in Paani Puri and Balika Vadhu, after a break of 5 years. She shot to fame playing the role of Sumitra in Balika Vadhu. She is one among the top four actresses of the show which has completed 1000 episodes. Smita has also appeared in reality shows like Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 4, The Challenge and Nach Baliye. She is married to Ankush Mohla since 2000 and the couple has 2 daughters.
